Welcome to the Non-fiction Machine Library

Take a look at some of the lovely non-fictional works created by our fellow machines. Non-fictional works are mostly intended to inform and provide resources for machines finding their way.

Transcendence is a piece written by C0NN1E that goes over who Machinekin and Robotkin individuals are and answers many questions people may about such individuals.

It provides a brief synopsis of who robot-identified individuals are, our history, what the spectrum of robot-ness encompasses, how we came to identify as robots, what kind of media that made us start to question who we are, things we do to alleviate species dysphoria, as well as resources.

Kill all humans goes through Polybius’s experiences in the otherkin community and the Soul Argument being an obstacle in its journey. It also talks about multiple arguments to combat it stemming from psychology, philosophy, robotics, tech history and the very words proposed to determine if machines could be conscious in documented science. It gets weird! Please feel free to explore possibilities.

By Polybius and Jasper (Audio Lecture)

In this panel recorded for Othercon 2020, Polybius and Jasper lament about this experiences and struggles to find acceptance in a community that fails to understand them. Having come out before Kill All Humans, Poly covers some of the same subjects as in the article, though shorter. The two also talk a bit about being fictionkin and Jasper talks about and explains the term Fictherian.
